About Me.
My practice is grounded in material, including wood, metal, paper, paint, and in the physical act of making. I work across woodworking, silversmithing, painting, and printmaking, using processes that require touch, repetition, and time, where the body is embedded in the work.
I grew up in rural southern Illinois and am now based in New York. This shift in environment has changed how I think about space and how art fits into my life. With less physical space, making has become more integrated into everyday objects and routines.
I’m interested in the idea that the things we live with, lamps, furniture, textiles, surfaces—can also function as sites of art. When space is limited, utility and intention overlap; functional objects become a place for form, pattern, and attention.
Self-portraiture runs through my work, not always as a literal image but as an ongoing process of reflection. Repetition and handwork allow me to return to and rework personal experience over time.
